Kulir 100(Tamil,Bobo Shashi)

I was looking forward to this soundtrack with much anticipation especially after watching the amazing promos for the movie..I first thought that there were only two tracks in the movie but it is actually a full fledged album!..The first two tracks,Coco Nanda and MC Bullet's Hip Hop Hurray and Nallavan Kettavan belong to a kind of songs that is alien to the Tamil film industry and requires some getting used to.But the tune as such and the arrangements are very much Dharan'ish!..The next track,Manasellam is a haunting and ammazing number dedicated to friendship and you cannot help but fall in love with this track!..Both the versions of the track are equally good and Simbhu's voice is surprisingly good in the unplugged version!..Krish's Un Uyir Nanban is elegant right from the start and is almost like a Harris Jeyaraj number,if not better!..Sirugendri Parkalam is predictable, but the backgrounds are funky and is almost a Boom Boom(Raam)revisited if not for some boring hooks in between. The last track,Boom(I know, too many Booms!:P) too is very lively and is a worthy add-on to this soundtrack. This soundtrack is undoubtedly, competent and is infact, delightful mainly due to the two melodies!.. Bobo Shashi enters into the Tamil music scene with a bang!..
