1977(Tamil,Vidyasagar)

Except for the composer's interesting additions in the background department in Arabi Kadal,the song as such is only mildly catchy while Havaai Theevil clearly apes some english song to a very uncomfortable level.Sadhana Sargam and Madhu Balakrishnan's vocals are the highlight in the mellow Yenathu Uyire while it is the same with Krithika's vocals in Ore Oru but Vijay Yesudas' vocals has been kinda tampered with.The last track,Vangakkadal too with Shankar Mahadevan's vocals is catchy enough to give multiple listens.This soundtrack clearly does not complement Vidyasagar's standards as a composer,but is surprisingly good for a Sarath Kumar movie.The Vidyasagar's latest OST,1977 is just about bearable.
