Just Maat Mathalli(Kannada,Raghu Dixit)

Yello Jhinugiruva has one neatly composed tune with excellent vocals by Shreya Ghoshal but some frivolous hooks in the middle by Sudir Attavar plays complete spoilsport.Marubhoomiyalli is more like it-With one heck of a tune,Rajesh Krishna takes this tune to another level with his vocals.Munjaane Manjalli is also a clear winner-The heartwarming tune is so hard to come by these days and the song also has some ambient backgrounds!..Raghu Dixit's two own tracks,Banina Haniyu and the title track also work-While Raghu's raucous vocals adds an interesting charm to the former, the short title song is breezy and delightful and wraps up this soundtrack on a high note. After 2 really impressive albums,Raghu continues to impress!..

Mukhaputa(Kannada,Hamsalekha)

Anuradha Bhat and Hiranmayi's Minuguthare has disastrous lyrics and a simplistic tune which makes no impact whatsoever while Hiranmayi's Amma Amma goes one step ahead in boring the listeners with a stock tune that doesn't work at all.Badriprasad's title track too falls in the Pathos-genre but thankfully,it works due to the heartfelt rendition by Badriprasad and apt backgrounds. The short track,Nisapaa has a free-flowing rhythm with lilting carnatic layers thoughout the song that works big time and is also sung beautifully by Badriprasad. The devotional Ajam Nirvikalpam, sung again by Badriprasad is the pick of the soundtrack-the mood it conveys is evident throughout the song!..Even though the overall sound is largely outdated,Three tracks work in this OST by Hamsalekha.

Parichaya(Kannada,Jassie Gift)

Baba Sehgal's Jeo Jeenedho Yaaro is an outdated techno-laden track that is uninteresting even though the overall sound is catchy.Ditto to Alisha Chinai's Jigi Jigi Jigidu-The tune is overwhelmingly familiar, but I cant quite recall where i've heard it though.Kopa Beda, with a seemingly boring tune just gets into nerves while Shaan's Kudinotave thankfully is tuneful and is hummable with catchy interludes.Nadedaaduva's immensely catchy tune and KK's ever-attractive vocals make it very impressive while Kailash Kher's pathos-laden O Nanna is suited to Kailash and is absorbing alright but there seems to be something missing in the song. Two tracks stand out in this otherwise routine soundtrack by Jassie Gift.

Sangama(Kannada,Devi Sri Prasad)

Madhumasa is extremely catchy with usual Devi's tried and tested sounds while the title track too is a lilting melody and grows on to you instantly.Kodu Kodu Varavanu doesnt sound like a Devi track at all,but this track too is equally addictive!..But the next track,Dil Maange More is very much Devi-repetitive but likeable.Hey Mr Balu too works, but is certainly on the lower side when compared to the first three tracks.Ranjith rules over the very addictive Muddu Muddu but the tune otherwise is routine, complete with imaginative infusions by Devi to make it more interesting. The best part of this soundtrack is that Devi has not used his super hit tracks from Telugu but has come up with some new tunes, which he has seldom done in Tamil..

Madesha(Kannada,Mano Murthy)

Lahari Baa Baa is not bad at all-Sonu Nigam is in amazing form crooning this one!!(Remember the dulcetty Anisuthide from Mungaru Male by Sonu?)..The title song by Gurukiran is punchy while Munjaane Manjagu too works, with that eerie backgrounds. But what is Kunal Ganjawala doing in Kannada?..(Well,Iam not complaining as long as the song is good...but quite surprised though!)..The folkish Gantu Gantu Preethi and the racy Tirugu Ye Bhoomige are passable while Taramayya is a complete rip-off from Ippatikinka(Pokiri)..Mano Murthy has churned out quite a number of good tracks(Thats wat i heard) but this soundtrack is hackneyed except the Sonu's song and of course the tune lift also sticks out as a sore thumb!...

Nannusire(Kannada,Premgi Amaran)

So here goes my first review for a Kannada movie!!..I do not have much of an exposure towards kannada movie songs except some of the very famous ones like Jinke Mareena etc..!!
Nenu Nanagaagi is the kannada version of the song Anbae which Premgi composed in his album(Shit, dont remember the name of the album!!..As in it was not a movie..And It was not released officially also because i checked a number of times by seeing in Muzicworld(Pondy Bazaar)..lol!..But Iam quite sure that the song was sung by Vijay Yesudas!!)..The song is even more impressive in kannada with superb vocals by Karthik and Srinivas!!..Hesarina Melu Preeti is a haunting melody with beautiful chorus that remains in your mind, long after the song is over!!..Munjaane Suryanne too is very likeable with some good interludes and beautiful singing by Sujatha!!..In Sanje Beachinalli, despite using the Aadaludan Padalai Kettu song as the Prelude and almost throughout the song,it works mainly because of the rap infusions and Premgi's singing!..the folkish Ninagaagiye is decent while the groovy title song ends the album on a high note!!..
Premgi produces a stunner in his Kannada debut!!...
