Anjaneyulu(Telugu,S S Thaman)

Despite the dated tune,Ranjith's Dil Se Bolo has become the by-now-trademark style of SS Thaman and is quite catchy and is very listenable.Naveen chips in with cool vocals in the simple and catchy Yem Vayaso-The female singer,Jyotsna is also quite good in her rendition!..Shankar Mahadevan's Anjali is breezy and tuneful and the composer adds some really good interludes in the middle!..The folkish Olammy is a typical Andhra style of Kuthu and Karthik infuses life into this song, like he does for any other song.SPB surprisingly sounds dreadful in Nuvvu Kantapadanante and the song itself doesnt make any impact whatsoever. The manic Raajukuley Raaju makes for adequate fun-The highpoint is the corny tune, added with Suchitra's vocals and backgrounds in right proportion!..Thaman's Anjaneyulu is vibrant and listenable, but one might get the feeling the composer is getting into a loop!..

Puthiya Mugham(Malayalam,Deepak Dev)

Prithviraj's Kaane Kaane is an outright winner-The actor is so adept with his vocals that i wrongly mistook his vocals to that of a professional singer!..Coming to the tune,it is incredibly catchy and has a rousing chorus!..The slow and haunting Yadhukula Murali has an incredible tune that works instantly while Sweety Pie is tuneless but has decent backgrounds and makes for good fun.The highlight of the soundtrack is the mesmerizing Picha Vecha Naal Mudhal-With one magnificent tune infused with classical backgrounds that works big time, this song is stunningly absorbing!..And Shankar Mahadevan is in incredible form here!..Thattum Muttum and Rahasyamaayi,on the other hand are seemingly routine and are just about listenable.Deepak Dev comes up with a very likeable soundtrack in Puthiya Mugham!

Josh(Telugu,Sandeep Chowta)

Vittal Rahul's College Bulloda, beyond the typical telugu'ish addictive hooks in the paragraphs fails to impress mainly due to the worn out tune.Bad Boy,beyond the exciting prelude is very predictable and Ranjith's confident vocals also goes in vain.Sowmya's Aawara Hawa,is at best annoying while Sandeep Chowta and Kunal Ganjawala's Diridiri goes one step ahead in boring the listeners and is pure uninteresting!..Karthik's Neetho Vunte works, mainly due to the pleasant, wonderful tune backed with excellent vocals by Karthik.Rahul and Ujjaini's Evvariki is the most interesting song in this soundtrack-Rahul's quirky vocals works big time while the song per se,has some excellent backgrounds along with a catchy tune. The 3 bit songs, with the local flavour are passable.Sandeep Chowta's soundtrack for Josh is seeped with mediocrity and isn't satisfactory!..

Love Ho Jaaye(Indipop,Tulsi Kumar and Monty Sharma)

Mere Khuda's dulcet tune and pleasant backgrounds works really well right till the end while Aaja Maahi is the same Aaja Maahi from 8x10 Tasveer(Composed by Neeraj Shridhar!)..Jaage Ab Raat Bhar too is mellifluous with everything in the right proportions while Dis Jil Ko,has a predictable tune but is catchy all the same.Radhe Shyam is the highlight of the album-The western backgrounds blends amazingly well with the tune and Tulsi simply rocks with her excellent vocals!..Tumhein Hum Pyaar Karte is ghazal'ish and clicks mainly due to Tulsi's vocals while Woh Raatein is a neat techno number that is quite enjoyable.Rabba Maula is a predictable outdated material while the final track,Kudi Panjaban has good backgrounds that is wasted due to a silly tune.Monty's tunes for this album works quite well and Tulsi's vocals is an added bonus!..Go for it!..

Ninaithale Inikkum(Tamil,Vijay Antony)

Vijay Antony-sung Pia Pia is typical Vijay Antony but surprisingly,it doesnt have that catchy ring to it and is largely passable.Prasanna and Janaki Iyer's Azhagai Pookkudhe also is a hackneyed,b grade melody with same old hooks and an outdated tune that is largely uninteresting.Things get better with Benny's Nanbanai Parthal-A pleasant tune, good lyrics along with excellent vocals makes it a compelling listen.Sexy Lady is no doubt catchy and interesting, but is unbelievably predictable, whether it comes to the tune or the backgrounds.Allah is more like it-A typical Vijay Antony style of kuthu, works very well even though it is remeniscent of his earlier works. The title track works mainly due to Kaushik's excellent vocals while the short track,Kalloori is too short to make an impression.Vijay Antony's soundtrack in Ninaithale Inikkum is largely lackadaisical.

Kaminey(Hindi,Vishal Bharadwaj)

Sukhwinder Singh and Vishal Dadlani are in TOP form in crooning the immensely imaginative and catchy Dhan Te Nan(Allegations of this track ripped from Pulp Fiction isnt exactly true!) and Vishal has propped up one amazing tune here.Fatak is almost Vishal-Shekhar-But it has all the Vishal elements and gets even better when it progresses further!..Mohit Chauhan's Pehli Baar Mohabbat Hai is another highlight of the soundtrack-the delightful tune blends superbly with Mohit's vocals and the chorus is just beautiful!..Raat Ke Dhai Baje, with its imaginative orchestration is mighty interesting and the "Pehli Baar Mohabbat Hai" hook is awesome in this track also!..Go Charlie Go theme is rousing and is surely a worthy add-on to this already amazing soundtrack. But Vishal has reserved the best song to himself-The title track has a divine tune with some really interesting lyrics!..And it is sung mind-blowingly by Vishal.Kaminey's soundtrack stands to all its hype and is a knock out!..Vishal Bharadwaj is surely a one of a kind in Indian Film industry. And with due respect for him,I know iam definitely going to watch this film!

Yathumagi(Tamil,James Vasanthan)

The short title track is perhaps very short to comment on,but it has some neat backgrounds while Benny Dayal's other track,Pesum Minsaram is just about listenable but is largely let down by sluggish backgrounds and a predictable tune.Chitra and Vijay Yesudas' Parthathum is outdated and backgrounds perhaps stresses the fact.Koothachidava also jars but it sure is lively to an extent, nothing more than that!..Deepa Miriam's Thigatta Thigatta Kathal works mainly due to the singers vocals even as the tune propped up by the composer is impressive.Yaarathu Yaro is the best song in the soundtrack-Has a delightful tune sung really well by Belly raj and the composer adds in some catchy hooks to make the song even more interesting. The last two tracks provide some relief in an otherwise routine soundtrack from James Vasanthan.
