Bolo Ram(Hindi,Sachin Gupta)

Do Dil Hain's pulsating tune and high-on-groove backgrounds is no doubt funky, but the vocals kinda get submerged because of the backgrounds.Maa Tere Jaisa also works-Sukhwinder Singh pulls off this track with panache and the the tune is very impressive. And Sachin uses all the familiar tricks of the trade when it comes to the tune and the ambient backgrounds!..Sunidhi Chauhan's Tere Ishq Mein is the highlight of this soundtrack-With a beautifully constructed tune,Sunidhi Chauhan is in prime form and the chorus riffs is awesome in this track. After some impressive work earlier,Sachin Gupta continues to show promise, this time in Bolo Ram's soundtrack!

Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam(Tamil,GV Prakash)

Kanna Nee Ennai's beautiful tune perfectly fits in the Bombay Jayashree's territory and she renders the song with consummate ease while the imposing jazz doesnt gel very well with Nenjam Nenjam's rather subdued tune but GV makes up for it with his excellent vocals.Vellaikkari's tune reminds of GV's earlier work and the tune itself falls flat while Raja Singam is on the same lines;it has a trite tune and the ennui sets in pretty quickly. The short Ilanthamizha with impressive retro sounds and an enjoyable tune works well. The IKMS theme, with some catchy and eerie sounds is very impressive while the War theme is also pretty good but the song title seems to be a misnomer.IKMS is an average soundtrack, but GV Prakash has to be lauded for continuously choosing variegated scripts.

Tamizh Padam(Tamil,Kannan)

Pachcha Maanja, beyond the produce-a-parody-of-eulogising-the-hero antics,(which is more evident in the interludes and paragraphs)the song actually has one enjoyable tune that works.O Maha Zeeya also carries the spoofy sound with all the nonsense from the other films used as lyrics, but has a beautiful tune rendered very well by Hariharan and Swetha Mohan.Even though the tune is a tad routine, the irony in Kuthuvilakku is told in a fantastic way which is enough to warrant a listen.Even with all the catchy sound,Oru Sooravalli has nothing novel about it and fails to work. The nursery-rhymish theme music also has nothing going for it.The parody is used to full extent and it actually gives a quirky ring to this soundtrack.

Kutty(Tamil,Devi Sri Prasad)

Feel My Love with KK's vocals works once again, this time in tamil-With one breathtaking tune,KK gets into the scheme of things and renders this song confidently. This has always remained one of the best compositions by Devi and thankfully its not tainted here by bad lyrics. But from hereon, this soundtrack sadly nosedives into a dreary one.Devi uses his Dil Maange more from Sangama in Lifea Jali Thaan but it is rude to even compare this song with the telugu equivalent,Thakathimithom.Nee Kathalikkum Ponnu also has this street smart charm as that of One Side Love from Arya and works to an extent while Kannu Rendum is silly and makes zero impact.Yaro En Nenjai, the Nuvvunte equivalent fails to recreate the magic which it did in Telugu. This soundtrack is nowhere near Arya, but it has its rare moments.

Just Maat Mathalli(Kannada,Raghu Dixit)

Yello Jhinugiruva has one neatly composed tune with excellent vocals by Shreya Ghoshal but some frivolous hooks in the middle by Sudir Attavar plays complete spoilsport.Marubhoomiyalli is more like it-With one heck of a tune,Rajesh Krishna takes this tune to another level with his vocals.Munjaane Manjalli is also a clear winner-The heartwarming tune is so hard to come by these days and the song also has some ambient backgrounds!..Raghu Dixit's two own tracks,Banina Haniyu and the title track also work-While Raghu's raucous vocals adds an interesting charm to the former, the short title song is breezy and delightful and wraps up this soundtrack on a high note. After 2 really impressive albums,Raghu continues to impress!..

Dulha Mil Gaya(Hindi,Lalit Pandit,Pritam)

Aaja Aaja Raanjhna sounds like a fusion of Aaja Mahiya(Fiza)and Lajja Lajja(Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham)but it still works, with some good vocals by Swananda.Akela Dil and Magar Meri Jaan are two sleep inducing songs and are instantly forgotten while Daler Mehndi's vocals is the only solace in the inane title track.Tu Jo Jaan Le thankfully works, with a saccharine coated tune which is rendered beautifully by Sonu Nigam while Rang Diya Dil passes muster, that too only because of Shreya Ghoshal. The final track,Shiri Farhad by Neeraj Shridhar and Tulsi Kumar fails to make any impact whatsoever.Dulha Mil Gaya's soundtrack is predictably disappointing!..

Chance Pe Dance(Hindi,Adnan Sami,Ken Ghosh,Sandeep Shirodkar)

Neeraj Shridhar's Pe Pe Pepein is all noise and is a frustrating hear right till the end while Vishal Dadlani's Pump It Up has a very catchy ring to it,akin to Adnan's style and with Vishal's vocals,it definitely works.Kunal Ganjawala's One More Dance is a stale khichdi of techno backgrounds and a tune that barely registers while Just Do it,composed by Ken Ghosh and Sandeep Shirodkar also fails to work.Soham and Shreya Ghoshal get to croon for a dulcet and a hum-worthy tune in Pal Mein Hi which has some Pritam'ish arrangements while Rishta Hai Mera has one buoyant tune but gets boring pretty soon.Yaba Daba Yahoo, with a single catchy hook that comes throughout the song is a good attempt.Adnan Sami evokes the mood of the film quite well which helps this soundtrack to stay afloat.

Adhurs(Telugu,Devi Sri Prasad)

The intro song,Siva Sambho has awful vocals by Devi and the tune which starts off well goes awry.Hariharan is the star of Chandrakala-With a beautiful tune,Hariharan pulls off a winner on his own with some fantastic vocals.Roping Mika to croon Pilla Nee Valla Kadhu is a pleasant surprise-It has a typical DSP tune with an enjoyable tune and the composer keeps the mood intact throughout the song. The slow arrangements in Chary is enticing but the song as a whole is middling, with some surprisingly adept vocals by Junior NTR.Neethone reminds so much of the composers work in Ready and fails to make an impact while Baba Sehgal sings his way to glory in Assalaam Valekhum, the Kodi Kodi Vedakodi revisited!..Devi Sri Prasad's Adhurs soundtrack is massy and works pretty well!

Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai(Tamil,Yuvan Shankar Raja)

The title song is no doubt foot-tapping,but it lacks the required punch that a Yuvan song usually has-Ranjith in the middle makes the song nicer though!..Poo Mudhal Pen Varai is a complete winner-Even though the core tune is middling,Yuvan makes up for it with a scintillating orchestration.Ranjith's vocals is the saving grace of Oru Punnagai Thane-The age old hooks and a familiar tune pulls the song down.En Aasai Ethiraliye is one annoyingly tuned song but has some good backgrounds while En Jannal Vandha's highlight is the imaginative arrangements, ably supported with some good vocals by Roshni,Priya and Divya. The introduction song where Yuvan talks is a cheesy attempt, but with a very catchy soundscape and therefore passes muster!..Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai's soundtrack is strictly average.

Pyaar Impossible(Hindi,Salim-Sulaiman)

Salim-Sulaiman get it right with this soundtrack when it comes to the ambient backgrounds and ear-friendly orchestration, but the big problem is the tunes.Anushka Manchandani and Salim are the perfect choices for Alisha, which is a winner with a competent tune wrapped with good backgrounds while 10 on 10,with a stock tune falls flat. The title song starts off well but ultimately fails, even with Dominique Cerejo and Vishal Dadlani's vocals while Ek Ladki Thi has nice lyrics, but the tune is routine and the repetitive usage of the title riffs gets really annoying after a point!..You and Me,amidst a neatly composed tune works even better with Neha Bhasin and Benny's vocals. This soundtrack is a mixed bag from the composer duo.

Rocket Singh-Salesman of the year(Hindi,Salim-Sulaiman)

With some exceptionally catchy hooks and a simple enjoyable tune,Pocket Mein Rocket is one outright winner with quirky lyrics and excellent vocals by Benny Dayal(And this song has one great video too!).The rhythmic arrangements in Gadbadi Hai Hadbadi Hai are very catchy and has a brilliantly conceived tune(Barring a few faults in mixing which is glaring and sticks out as a sore thumb!) along with a scintillating rendition by Vishal Dadlani. And I completely love the hum towards the end of this track!..The last track,Pankhon Ko is also a winner-Besides the slow heartwarming tune,Salim Merchant's vocals is the highlight of this song.Considering the quality of the three songs,This soundtrack is woefully short, but Salim and Sulaiman continue from where they left this year and deliver again!..

Kasko(Telugu,Premgi Amaran)

Naveen and Sujatha's Krishnaveni has a tad routine tune but it is very enjoyable and including the 'Vasthadu Naa Raju' piece in the middle makes it all the more corny.Whistle Kottu reminds of Premgi's work in Thozha but has all the ingredients, mainly Devi Sri Prasad's vocals to make an impact.Nachave Nachesave has Premgi using a comparatively simple tune to good effect with good backgrounds along with SP Charan's good vocals while Dheera Gambheera, with mundane orchestration falls flat.Telusa Telusa, with a Timbaland styled orchestration also works, thanks to the catchy tune with some addictive hooks.Premgi Amaran's debut telugu soundtrack in Kasko is functional.
